Portrait artist becomes a friend of the bear
Stuart Forster is a gifted young man who offered his services to paint Vikki’s portrait following her sudden and untimely death.
The family had decided that a life size photograph was to be on show during her funeral service at St.John’s Church Rowlands Castle.
Vicky’s partner, James, introduced them to Stuart and they saw photographs of his work and felt that such would be more fitting as a display with flowers in the church centre where the service was being relayed by a video link.
Vicky had met Stuart previously, seeing the talents that he had, pushed him to develop them further to the point of changing his career and taking up his artwork to a full time professional capacity.
The final portrait that Stuart produced turned out to be a larger than life size portrait of her. From comments received following the funeral many spoke of how helpful it was to see her portrait and how talented the artist was. The portrait fills a valued area of their home where they see daily her cheerful smile.
Stuart is welcomed as a friend to the AWAAIREBEAR for his support to the family.
