Winchester Launch

Winchester University graciously hosted the launch of Awaairebear on National Asthma Day attended by the Mayor Winchester. A cheque for £500 rasied from the sponsorship of Bears into schools was presented to Dr Peter Howarth from Southampton General Hospital and Caroline Pope from AAIR. Six bears were presented to schools from the Winchester and north Hampshire area sponsored by the Youth Church of St.John the Baptist Rowlands Castle, a further two bears were presented to schools form Alresford and Kings Sombourne sponsored by Direct Access International. A ninth bear was presented to the education Department of the University of Winchester.
The event was held at Winchester University, from where Vicky Foss graduated in 2007. Students and friends together with local school representatives attended the venue on the University campus and the event was publisised by the Hampshire Chronicle.
